Celebrate Every Season with Tangem Wallet: Limited Seasonal Editions Now Available

Tangem Wallet NZ

Same wallet, different colours

A Tangem Wallet is a hardware wallet the size of a bank card. It keeps your private keys on a secure chip, offline, and you use it by tapping the card against your phone. Most people buy one, set it up, put it in a drawer and stop thinking about it, which is the point.

The Tangem Wallet Seasonal Editions are the same wallet with a different look. The chip, the app and the security are identical to the standard black or white cards. What changes is the artwork on the card, and the fact that each design is made in a limited run.

How a Tangem card works

Older hardware wallets come with cables, batteries, a small screen and a setup process that involves writing 24 words on a piece of paper. Tangem took a different route.

Each card carries a Samsung secure element certified to EAL6+. Your private key is generated on that chip and never leaves it. There is no battery, no screen and no port. The card draws power from your phone over NFC for the second or two it takes to sign a transaction.

You open the Tangem app on iOS or Android, tap the card, enter your access code, and approve the transaction. Bitcoin, Ethereum, stablecoins and most of the tokens people actually hold are supported: the app currently covers 90+ networks and 16,000+ tokens.

The Tangem Wallet Seasonal Editions

Each edition takes its theme from a season. The designs below are the four themes in the range. Which ones are in stock changes through the year, so check the collection page for what we have right now.

Tangem Wallet Spring Edition

Floral patterns and soft pastel colours. It is the brightest of the four and the one people tend to pick as a gift.

Tangem Wallet Summer Edition

Warmer, bolder colours with sun and sea in the artwork. Summer here means beaches and long evenings, and the design leans into that.

Tangem Wallet Autumn Edition

Earthy tones and golds. It is the quietest of the set and looks the least like a piece of tech, which some people prefer.

Tangem Wallet Winter Edition

Cool tones and silver accents on a clean layout. If you like the plain black card but want something slightly different, the Winter Edition Tangem Wallet is the closest match.

Seasonal designs are produced in limited quantities. Once a design sells out we may not be able to restock it, so if you have your eye on one, it is worth buying while it is listed. Collectors like them for that reason, but they work exactly like any other Tangem card.

What you get with any Tangem Wallet

The seasonal artwork is cosmetic. Underneath, every card has the same features:

  1. Secure element: Samsung chip, EAL6+ certified. Tangem firmware has been audited by Kudelski Security and Riscure.
  2. Fixed firmware: the firmware cannot be updated, so nobody can push new code to the card after it leaves the factory.
  3. Backup cards: a set has two or three cards that share the same key. Lose one and the others still work.
  4. Seed phrase optional: you can create a wallet without a recovery phrase and rely on your backup cards, or generate a seed phrase if you want one.
  5. Tough build: IP69K rated against water and dust, no battery to die, and a 25-year warranty.

Setup takes a few minutes. You do not need any technical background, although you do need to read the screens rather than click through them.

Giving a Tangem Wallet as a gift

The Tangem Wallet Seasonal Editions make a good present for someone who holds crypto on an exchange and keeps meaning to move it. A seasonal card is something they will notice, and it gives them a reason to finally set up self-custody.

Each wallet arrives in Tangem retail packaging, so it is ready to hand over. If the person is new to crypto, it is worth sitting down with them for the first setup so they understand the access code and the backup cards.

Where to buy Tangem Wallet in New Zealand

Buy from an authorised seller. A hardware wallet that has passed through unknown hands is a risk you do not need to take, however good the price looks.

Tangem NZ is an authorised New Zealand seller. Buying from us means:

  • Genuine cards supplied through the authorised channel
  • Shipping from Auckland, with prices in NZ$ including GST
  • Local support by email if you get stuck during setup
  • The full manufacturer warranty

How to set up your Tangem Wallet

  1. Download the Tangem app from the App Store or Google Play.
  2. Tap your first card on the back of your phone when the app asks.
  3. Set an access code and add your backup cards, one at a time.
  4. Send a small test amount from your exchange to your Tangem address, then send the rest once it arrives.
  5. Store the backup cards separately, ideally in different places.

The card itself never connects to the internet. Your phone does the network side, and the card only signs the transaction once you tap it.

Tangem Wallet Seasonal Editions FAQ

What is Tangem Wallet?

A hardware crypto wallet in the shape of a bank card. Your private key is stored on a secure chip, offline, and you use it by tapping the card on your phone with the Tangem app open. There are no batteries or cables, and a seed phrase is optional.

What is different about the Seasonal Editions?

Only the design. Each edition (Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter) has its own artwork and is made in a limited run. The chip, app and security are the same as the standard cards.

Where can I buy Tangem Wallet in New Zealand?

From Tangem NZ, an authorised New Zealand seller. We ship from Auckland, prices are in NZ$ including GST, and the cards come with the manufacturer warranty.

Is Tangem Wallet safe for storing crypto?

It uses an EAL6+ certified secure element and keeps your private key offline, which protects it from the malware and phishing that hit software wallets. If you lose your phone, you install the app on a new one and tap a card. If you lose a card, your backup cards still work. No wallet is risk-free, so keep your access code private and your backup cards apart.

Which cryptocurrencies does it support?

Bitcoin, Ethereum, USDT, BNB and many more. The Tangem app currently supports 90+ networks and 16,000+ tokens on iOS and Android.

How do I set up my Tangem Wallet?

It takes a few minutes:

  1. Download the Tangem app from the App Store or Google Play.
  2. Tap your first card on your phone.
  3. Follow the prompts to set an access code and link your backup cards.
  4. Transfer crypto from an exchange or another wallet to your Tangem address.

What happens if I lose a card?

A Tangem set has two or three cards that hold the same key. If one goes missing, you can still reach your funds with the others. That is why we recommend keeping them in separate places.

Are the Seasonal Editions available all year?

No. Each design is a limited run, available while stock lasts. When a design sells out, it may not come back.

Do I need an internet connection?

The card is always offline and needs no internet, Bluetooth or cable. Your phone needs a connection to check balances and broadcast transactions, but the key never leaves the card.

Does it work with New Zealand crypto exchanges?

Yes. You can withdraw from any NZ exchange, or international ones like Binance, Coinbase or OKX, to your Tangem address. Check that you pick the right network on the exchange before you send.

Why use a Tangem card instead of a software wallet?

A software wallet keeps your keys on a phone or computer that is online and runs other apps. Tangem keeps them on a separate chip that only signs when you physically tap it. That removes a whole category of risk, from malware to a compromised phone.

Can I give a Tangem Wallet as a gift?

Yes, and the seasonal designs are popular for it. It is a practical present for anyone who already holds some crypto.

How do I find out about new seasonal designs?

Check the seasonal collection page on tangem.nz, or follow Tangem on social media for release news.

Does Tangem Wallet come with a warranty?

Yes. Tangem cards carry a 25-year warranty, and when you buy through Tangem NZ you get local support for setup questions and warranty claims.
