Tangem Wallet Update 5.30: Yield Mode, Staking Fixes and More

Tangem Wallet

Tangem app version 5.30 is out for iOS and Android. The headline is Yield Mode, which lets you earn on-chain yield on stablecoins without moving them off your self-custodial wallet. There are also a handful of smaller changes to staking, notifications and swaps that are worth knowing about.

Version: 5.30 on iOS and Android
Release date: 20 November 2025

What changed in 5.30

1. Yield Mode

The app now has a native integration with Aave, one of the longest-running DeFi lending protocols. Turn Yield Mode on for an eligible stablecoin, approve the token once, and any of that token arriving in your wallet on the relevant network is supplied to Aave automatically. Your keys stay on your card or ring the whole time. We’ve written a separate guide to Yield Mode that covers fees, withdrawals and the NZ tax angle.

2. Banner alerts for transaction notifications

Push notifications for incoming and outgoing transactions now show as a banner inside the app as well, so you’ll see them even if you’re already in the middle of something else.

3. Quai Network support

Quai is now a supported network. You can add it, send and receive, and check balances the same way as any other chain in the app.

4. Easier TON staking activation

If you stake TON and your staking address hasn’t been activated yet, the app now bundles the activation self-transaction into the flow for you. Before this update it was a common place for first-time stakers to get stuck.

5. Staking APR calculation

The APR shown for staking has been reworked so it sits closer to what the protocol actually pays out at the time. Treat it as an estimate, not a promise, as always.

6. Notifications for slow swaps

If a swap is still pending after 15 minutes, the app sends you a notification instead of leaving you to keep reopening it to check.

7. Winter Sakura card artwork

Winter Sakura cards now display their correct artwork in the app.

8. Solana via LiFi

The LiFi integration now covers Solana, which should make Solana swaps and cross-chain routes more reliable.

9. Fixes and refactoring

The usual round of bug fixes and stability work under the hood.

How to update

Open the App Store or Google Play and update the Tangem app. Your wallet lives on your cards, not in the app, so updating never touches your keys or your balance. If you’re new to Tangem, our overview of the Tangem Wallet is the place to start.

FAQs

What is Yield Mode?

A feature in the Tangem app that supplies supported stablecoins to the Aave lending protocol and earns on-chain yield, while your private keys stay on your Tangem device.

Does Quai Network support change anything for existing tokens?

No. It adds one more network you can enable. Nothing changes for networks you already use.

What’s different about TON staking?

If your staking address isn’t activated, the app now handles the activation step as part of staking rather than failing and leaving you to work out why.

What happens if a swap takes a long time?

After 15 minutes pending, the app sends a notification to let you know it’s still in progress. Slow swaps are usually network congestion or a thin liquidity route, not a lost transaction.

Can I update to 5.30 now?

Yes, it’s available on both app stores. Note that the app has moved on since this release; later versions include everything in 5.30.
